Now that the Crowes have become NEM, this section can be merged with Crowes Chat.

I'm hoping Luther will be in it.

Is that a serious commetn Jay? If so I can understand it, his playing (and writing!) might add something special. But I'm guessing Luther will want to give some energy to the guys who have been so patient with him. Also, I suspect at this stage that Chris will want to branch out in something with a clear identity that is separate to the Crowes - although the name of the band does stamp him all over it so maybe that would give him license to use all the Crowes - I'm guessing in the dark.

Yes, completely serious. I love Luther. A new NMAs album would be cool too though.
As far as band line ups etc. I'm sure Chris will do whatever he feels like doing, whether it's with Crowes members or not.

Of course he'll do exactly as he wishes, he's lucky enough in life to be in that position, but as someone who really enjoys his solo stuff I'm quite looking forward to what he has to offer - I've heard SHMC stuff just a few too many times to want more of the same as far as the Crowes go. If they had gone on to record more new material then great, but I think it's time for a break. I'm totally out of sync with everybody else, I love Warpaint, ATF etc, but Croweology doesn't eget me excited at all.

I think a lot of his last solo outing was him trying to find his feet and some of the music was a bit TOO meandering for me... some good songs between those 2 albums, but also a lot of stuff that blends into each other.
I really loved the last 2 Crowes albums... I think Croweology is a superb album, even if it is all old tunes. And I thought 90% of BTF/UTF was outstanding as well. I love the new country/folk-ish direction they've taken... and it suits Chris' voice much more.
On top of Brothers Of A Feather, I think Chris should have more of a solid foundation to come out with something pretty damn solid.
But who knows.
