(cam notes in vid description)

Marccam vibrates a lot less, which is weird, as that $30 tripod was taped to a countertop, whereas the Zoomcam one was my $300 tripod with the rubber feet.

there is also a Sonics version (same head, different mics) on etree, not sure about TTD

Show Notes:
Where to begin the "leg 3" storyline?

Wisconsin is the land of cheese and porn and fireworks.

The venue was AWESOME, had the entire 250 seat balcony to myself, so the
sound should be pretty damn good.

It's hard to quantify how much better they get after each show. Both
Marc AND John last night were like men possessed. It was like Marc
McCready was on stage right, he was jumpin, jerkin and dancing all night.

As for the setlist, I'm on the way to Bloomington in T-minus 2
hours...but Waitin' Guilty, Title Song...Another Roadside Tragedy...and
a couple of FTP's, I believe (haven't checked the tour stats to confirm
or deny this).

A hightlight for me was "Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye"...really, really
dig John's vox on this, and with it being a "Chris-heavy" song, I was
worried when I saw it on the setlist. Instead, halfway thru, it was like
#Chriswho...

Speaking of "who", the person you SHOULD thank for this prompt
turnaround is Dennis. He's taken the Energizer bunny to a Tesla Minotaur
level. If you throw him a quick "Thanks Dennis", it doesn't hurt, and
it's the right thing to do.

Just stone me...rocks are optional.

Friday the 13th is COMING UP!!!!

Show Notes:
The "over the hump" show for myself (#10 of 19), and this one was quite
the doozie.

I got to re-acquaint myself with the inimitable Sharp from the message
boards (it'd been 7+ years), and courtesy of the kind-hearted TMS
"crew", a soundboard patch was obtained for both soundcheck and the show.

Of course the soundboard of the show disappeared from the flash card
when I tried to rename it thru the card reader on my less-than-a-year
old laptop, but that's a talk show (and recovery program) for another day.

They had a pretty solid crowd for a small-market show (an easy 400,
maybe more), and between "Black Coffee", "Waitin' Guilty", and "Grows A
Rose" as 'rarities', and then RIch's 1-2 punch of "Which Way Your Wind
Blows" and "Ides Of Nowhere" (though played an hour apart), this show
was a great "send off" for myself before the November shows.

Even the *only* song I didn't care for in September, "Girl From A
Pawnshop", was much improved from then. Last month, John's phrasing
seemed to be off, and it was more like he was shouting vs. singing the
lyrics...this time, listening for the same, he was not. Maybe still not
"nailed it" level, but there was improvement for sure.

Great staff as well at The Castle Theater, easy to work with and cool
people.

Yeah, the "adjective" bank is a bit dry, but trust me, you'll want to
hear this show before the matrix comes. And the sync'd vids.

Get yourself reacquainted with the Rich/Marc sound, as they seem to gel
and mesh better with each and every show.

Speaking of 'show', show Dennis some love...you cats are getting this in
yer ears with a less-than-24-hour-turnaround. That's pretty amazing,
considering I live in Alaska, am visiting various states, and he lives
in Canada.

#socialnetworkingatitsFINEST!!!

I'm headed home on Monday to fuck off, before the band hits their final
stride in November.

The plane ticket is already paid for, and a few hotels have already been
booked.

It's ON like Donkey Kong, Sean John and Billabong!!!!

speaking of BONG...

That's cos you're never here! Without you the party wasn't worth continuing.

And yeah, thanks for the vids Sonic, you rule too!

It's good to see the old guard around here. It's been probably 15 years since I signed up for .org, and I haven't regretted a minute of it. Thanks for the good times folks!

Now somebody get Hi Wolf's Husband Here over here.

not sure if Dave and Jan do message boards any more...I usually see them around April/May each year, so I'll get an update then.

I'm too lazy to post the links, but every November show is up on youtube, some with multiple camera angles.

all of the ***soundboards*** are up on The Traders Den and dimeadozen (16 bit) and etree (24 bit)

was able to run 5 cams for many shows (and 7 in Baltimore)....had to pay a $250 ***per camera*** origination fee in NYC, so I only ran one cam there both nights (though I heard that there were other cams running in the building)

all of the soundchecks were recorded as well, at least from Santa Cruz on. many were filmed.

one hell of an amazing 9 week run.
