All of these were posted on Soundcloud by someone that went by the nickname "One Snake and Three Charms", both all of the songs posted and the user are long gone.
I believe, but this is my humble opinion only, that the user was Boa.
You were close on the nickname, but not the user.
It is "asnake&3charms", from - "On That Hollow Day" fame and fortune - (your life with the pendulum, a silver bracelet, a snake and three charms), and no it was not boa. It was me, an Amorican who found something special in the sound and music of The Black Crowes.
After I heard a snippet of Everybody Has Scars on "SGS", I thought man I would love to hear that entire song, no matter what Gorman thought of it, but figured it would never happen. About a year and a half back, I made a visitor post to Crowesbase WHQ stating that it would be nice to hear some Sound Of Music Studios material, or even better, some Three Snakes era material, like Everybody Has Scars or Name Like Music. It was surely a coincidence, but very shortly after that, a link to Everybody Has Scars showed up on boa's facebook page, and I thought wow, that was a very generous thing for him to do, coincidental or not.
All of the unreleased studio songs I posted on Soundcloud were from links that boa posted on his facebook page, the 09-19-1992 soundcheck came from the .net board. The unreleased studio songs were crowesbase.com and or boa.com clickable links that would open and play the song, and would disappear after about a week or so if I remember right.
Weeks after I had put the songs that boa was posting links to up on Soundcloud, the same songs (and others that I never saw links for on boa's page), showed up on one of the closed group TBC discussion pages as .wav files. I downloaded some of them and tested them to see if they were wave files, but they were all lossy as I figured, because they came from the same source as the ones I had did - the TBC archive via boa, which were all mp3. I informed the person that posted the links on the TBC discussion page that they were not wave files, but instead mp3 files that someone converted to wave, and that he may want to let everyone know that they were not really wave files.
Some, or most people might say they could care less what format that the songs were in, as long as they had them, which is fine. I was just trying to let him know that they were not correctly labeled and that there was nothing gained by converting from an mp3 file to a wave file, other than greatly increasing the size of the file, because what was cut off the lossless file when it was converted to an mp3 file could not be added back by converting the mp3 back to wave.
I mentioned to the person that put up the wave file links that all of the downloadable links for the songs that were originally posted by boa were all mp3 files, and after that, boa replied to my post quoting what I had said about all of the links he posted being downloadable with a question mark at the end. I replied to boa that if you right clicked on any of his links, that you would get a drop down box with a lot of link options, including "save link as..." which is what I was doing, and figured others were as well.
I do not remember exactly what his reply was, but it was short and something like "uh oh", like he didn't know that the links could be downloaded and saved. Not long after that, all of the links and posts regarding the links on the closed group TBC page disappeared, so I figured it best to remove all of the songs from my Soundcloud page.
