The Black Crowes - Before The Frost

The Crowes' new studio album, Before the Frost... will be released on August 31, 2009.

A second album, titled …Until The Freeze, will be given away for free exclusively through a unique download code which is included in Before The Frost… as a “thank you” to their fans for two decades of continued support.

Before the Frost..., and its corresponding free album …Until The Freeze, were recorded over a series of five nights at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY. Although both are studio albums, all the new material was performed and recorded in front of an intimate audience of the band’s fans, making them a part of The Black Crowes musical history. 

A limited edition vinyl release of Before The Frost…Until The Freeze, featuring all 20 tracks, will also be available on September 1, 2009.

NOTICE ANYTHING DIFFERENT?

Welcome to the new site!  The redesign has come in fits and starts many times over the past couple years, but after finally making the decision to redo the message board, it seemed silly to not redo the whole site from the ground up.  Hope you like the new layout.

As mentioned previously, there's a new message board.  Please click HERE for details on some of the new features available on the new board as well as why it had to start from scratch.

NOTE:  Unfortunately, no accounts, posts, or post counts were able to be migrated from the new board.  You will need to re-register.  A fresh start for everyone!

There's some new features on the website as well.  To the left is a streaming media player.  Clicking any of the links will allow you to purchase that song, or entire albums, from Lala.com.   There may be a switch to a different player that would allow streaming live shows, but the bandwidth implications need to be weighed before implementing.

Speaking of bandwidth, the site and board have also moved to a new host.  Overall performance and stability should be greatly improved.

Many of the sections are still works in progress.  The hope is to develop each one over time and to try and make the site a little more up current and interactive - and less static and outdated.
